How we handle personal data on HiddenLogic

Last updated: August 2026

1. General

This policy describes how information is collected and used when you visit hilog.dev and related services (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to this policy.

The data controller is the operator of HiddenLogic. For privacy questions contact support@hilog.dev.

2. Data we may collect

Registration and account: email, name (as provided), and data needed for sign-in (including OAuth if you enable it).

Ebook download requests: email, chosen file formats, locale, and your consent to receive download links, a notice when a paper edition is available, and occasional HiddenLogic emails. You can unsubscribe from those emails.

Purchases: order and payment status are processed by payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, YooKassa) under their policies; we retain the minimum needed to fulfil orders and support.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, language, request time — for security, analytics, and service improvement.

Cookies and local storage: for session login, theme and language preferences, and analytics (e.g. Plausible) if enabled.

3. Purposes

Providing on-site reading of books, sending requested ebook files, account features, and purchases.

Notifying you when a paper edition is available and sending occasional HiddenLogic updates if you consented.

Processing payments, access control, and fraud prevention.

Communicating about orders and support.

Improving the Site and aggregated statistics where applicable.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with processors required to run the Site (payments, hosting, email, analytics) only as needed to provide the service.

5. Retention and security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures. Retention follows service needs and legal requirements.

6. Your rights

Depending on applicable law you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, or port your data. Contact support@hilog.dev.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the current version is always on this page. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
