HiddenLogic sits at that intersection: learning science (retrieval, spacing, desirable difficulties) and critical thinking (evidence, calibration, updating beliefs). Below are twelve books we treat as useful anchors—six for how learning works, six for clearer judgment. This is not a sales ranking and not a syllabus you must finish. It is a list with criteria: what to take seriously, what to read critically, and where popular writing oversimplifies research.
